Application Authentication for ECSD

 The following applications use centrally located LDAP servers for user authentication. Contact your Technology Coordinator or IT Service Desk for assistance.

*denotes that the application uses single sign-on so that once you've logged into one application you may access all without logging in again.

The following applications use centrally located Active Directory servers (synced with LDAP) for user authentication. Contact your Technology Coordinator or IT Service Desk for assistance.

  • Safari Montage Live (SML)

The following applications use application specific authentication. See the contacts below for assistance with these applications.

  • Aesop is administered by each school's secretary. Human Resources provides district level administration.
  • ConnectED or McGraw-Hill/Glencoe is administered by a school-based administrator and the appropriate Subject Area Specialist.

  • Edmodo is administered by a school-based administrator. Instructional Technology provides district level administration.
  • ePals is used and supported completely by individual teachers.
  • FCAT Explorer is administered by a school-based administrator. Evaluation Services provides district level administration.
  • FCAT STAR is administered by a school-based administrator. Evaluation Services provides district level administration.

  • Florida Achieves is administered by a school-based administrator. Evaluation Services provides district level administration.
  • Florida School Leaders is administered by Staff Development.

  • Page Center X is administered by IT.

  • PEER is administered by the ESE Department. IT Service Desk staff may change passwords.

  • SafeSchools is administered by Protection Services.
  • SchoolMessenger is administered by IT Service Desk.
  • SuccessMaker 4 is administered by a school-based administrator. Instructional Technology provides limited district level support.

  • TestNav is administered by Evaluation Services.

    I've updated the Application Authentication forum article to include changes for the 12-13 school year. Some highlights include the addition of Compass Learning Odyssey (for middle and high schools) and standardization of instructional materials sites for math, science, and social studies (see attachment and articles as noted). Some additional changes that are coming include moving SafeSchools and SML to centrally located LDAP servers as well as further extension of single sign-on.
