In order to provide better security for student accounts, the student password requirements for Middle and High School students ONLY have changed for this year. This change does not affect Elementary students. Middle and High School student passwords are now required to be eight (8) characters, must contain at least one capital letter, one lower case letter and a number, and will be set by the student.
The student will be required to answer three challenge questions and then reset their password themselves upon initial login to any application to which we login via Single Sign-On. Those applications include
Novell Login on a P.C (this does not apply on a Chromebook).
In addition, the students may go directly to the district website, Students tab, and click on Self Service Password Reset on the right. It will then prompt them for their username and current password. Returning student’s passwords are their 6 digit birthdate (MMDDYY) while new students to the district will have their 8 digit birthdate (MMDDYYYY) as the default password.
Two of the three challenge questions will have to be answered correctly when a student uses the Forgot Password link to reset their passwords.
